AN INTIMATE ODE TO THE POWER OF VULNERABILITY.
“Music
to listen to
with your eyes closed.”
Sam Vloemans’ Bord du Nord creates music that breathes between silence and sound, weaving jazz with chanson, tango, klezmer and classical influences. Each composition unfolds like a miniature landscape, where melody meets memory and every note tells a story.
Since the project began in 2008, Bord du Nord has captivated audiences with music that is intimate, refined and deeply human. With Bord du Nord II, the ensemble enters a new chapter while preserving the vulnerability and timeless character at the heart of its sound.

BORD DU NORD II

Bord du Nord II is a collection of deeply personal compositions in which jazz, chanson, tango, klezmer and classical traditions meet within a cinematic sound world.
Vloemans’ trumpet weeps and sighs, Cresens’ accordion whispers stories, while piano and double bass create a foundation of warmth, depth and fragile silence. Each piece becomes an emotional landscape: intimate, timeless and open to the imagination.
